Colleton Great House St Peter
Colleton House is a Great House in every sense. It is an historic house set in seven acres of secluded tropical gardens on the fashionable west coast of Barbados with beautiful views over the Caribbean Sea.
With foundations laid in 1652, today the Colleton Estate comprises a grand, two-storey, five-bedroom, plantation-style home with an expansive basement and in-ground pool. In addition to the main house, the estate includes a two-bedroom guest cottage, a three-bedroom house and handsome stables presently being used as a private art gallery. The house stands on 7 acres of gardens and mahogany forest and is approached by a circular drive of shady trees. Visitors often remark that its Georgian architecture reminds them of an English country home.
The Estate’s elegant rooms and generous verandahs make it ideal for entertaining on a lavish scale.
